Lace-up Gloves -free pattern

Lace-up Gloves

Materials: About 1 skein of Caron Simply Soft and ribbon (I used 7/8” wide and I’m not sure yet how much of it I used, but it is less than my roll of 18 ft.)

Gauge: 16 sts. and 24 rows = 4 in. (10 cm) in stockinette stitch
Gauge isn’t really important unless you knit really tight. In which case, you could just cast on a few more stitches. I made it so it would fit my arm specifically, but it’s not too important with the fact of the laces.

Cast on 30 stitches (this is to be the end nearest your elbow)

Bind off with wrong side facing. (this is the end nearest your knuckles)
Thread Ribbon through the holes you created in a “shoelace” manner. (aka crisscross). Tie a bow at the end nearest your elbow, and pull them on. Put your thumb in between whichever crisscross feels most comfortable. :]
